Reasons why Gore-Tex is a great option:

  1. Gore-Tex models are great for this time of year, as the weather gets colder and wetter, Gore-Tex will help protect your feet from the elements. Chilblains are no fun and as runners we all know foot health is very important.

  2. Keeping your socks and feet dry will help to prevent any extra movement in your shoes in turn keeping blistering and rubbing at bay.
  3. Gore-Tex shoes keep trail running fun throughout the winter. If you’re someone who hits the trails only when dry then during the wetter months you might find your spending most of your miles on the pavements. Keeping a % of your runs off road a week helps keep impact injuries at bay as well as improving proprioception as we hit the trails all in turn good for overall strength.

Gore-Tex footwear is an extremely helpful item of kit in the wetter months.

We therefore highly recommend Gore-Tex in trail models to protect your foot against damp grass through to muddy icy puddles.
